Hello Peat - The new CLCO webcam is a remote installation, and that camera as well as a seismometer are powered by batteries and solar power. Right now, solar power to the site is low, and we are prioritizing seismic data over the webcam. Seismic data is currently coming in nicely, and is valuable for eruption forecasting and detection. As you know, getting to the site is expensive. We hope to be back at Cleveland this summer through our partnership with the NSF-funded Islands of Four Mountains project. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Peat Galaktionoff wrote: when will the camera on Cleveland be fixed ? or...can we say that last summers work was just a waste of taxpayers money. People in the Aleutian Islands want to know A.S.A.P.
