Hi Roberta- Thanks for your vote of confidence! We only monitor Alaska volcanoes, so, no, we're not monitoring Canary Islands submarine activity. I have studied submarine volcanoes, so have a soft spot for them myself! But the pictures and helicopter videos totally discount that theory.
