Hi Amanda - Sorry, AVO doesn't have any formal tours. Sometimes we are able to arrange a tour for a group. Let me know what time you were thinking of, and I will ask if someone can help. (I'm in Fairbanks, I assume you are asking to tour Anchorage's facility.) Sometimes a very motivated and independent student can volunteer with AVO, although volunteers are typically college students and the volunteer work is typically NOT fieldwork. If you have a very interested student, they can contact us via the website. Thank you, Cheryl -------- Amanda Wraith wrote: I am a science teacher for high school Earth Science/Geology students. I would love to find out if you offer tours or would consider sharing your work at AVO with a group of eager students. Also, do you ever have projects that students can help with as volunteers? Thank you for your time and help! Amanda -- Cheryl Cameron Geologist, Alaska Volcano Observatory Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys voice: 907-451-5012 fax: 907-451-5050
