We do not know if anyone has hiked Pavlof before, we are not a permit-granting agency. It would likely be quite difficult due to the steep and loose terrain.

Most importantly, we do not recommend attempting this at all. Pavlof is an active volcano that often erupts with very little precursory activity or warning.

Our scientists and technicians visit the summit via helicopter when doing field work, and do so while in communication with the home offices who are watching the geophysical data to be sure that it is safe.

Hope you are having a good day...I have a quick question about pavlof volcano. Has anyone ever hiked pavlof volcano to the top of it? If it is even possible to hike pavlof volcano?
