Cynthia, There is no evidence to suggest that any earthquakes triggered the eruption of Pavlof. There are some cases where very large regional earthquakes appear to temporarily disturb the stress regime at volcanoes, causing a slight change in background seismicity, but no evidence that eruptions have been "triggered". -Janet -------- Cynthia Gage wrote: I was curious as to whether the recent swarm of earthquakes in the Aleutian Arc could have triggered the eruption? I also have noticed that you are watching Cleveland, is it also possible that these earthquakes can trigger her to erupt also? I have been studying Hawaii, but the recent events in Alaska have peaked my interests. Thank you for your time, Cynthia Gage
