I’m reaching out in regards to our Coffee with a Scientist program here at the AAPLIC, where a local scientist comes in to our theater and gives a presentation on their area of expertise while we provide free coffee to the guests in attendance. We are currently looking for presenters for this summer program. The presentations run for 45 minutes every Friday afternoon, starting at 2pm. This year, the program will be starting on Friday, June 7th, and continues on until Friday, September 13th. The topic to be presented on is entirely in your court, whether you decide to replicate a past demonstration or produce a completely new one. There is A/V capability, including a projector and laptop in the theater here at the AAPLIC if your presentation involves a Powerpoint slideshow or video clips. Any technological assistance you may need, we are fully capable of arranging for your presentation. It’s also absolutely fine if you want to just come in and talk for the program, without any technology aside from the mic.
