Hello Delicia - Cleveland is about 940 miles southwest of Anchorage. It is *extremely* unlikely that any ground-level ash from an explosive eruption at Cleveland would make it to Anchorage. Absolutely, do not worry about it. The current effusive eruption (lava dome) at Cleveland is not currently producing any ash at all. In the event that volcanic ash is forecasted to fall on Anchorage (more likely from an eruption of one of the Cook Inlet volcanoes - much closer to Anchorage) then there would be notifications through many channels: our website, the weather radio, your community's emergency management services, and local news. And if it were to spit ash, how far would it reach out(as in distance from volcano. would it reach to Anchorage)? Would there be warning on the news or radio?
