Re: Request for Videocassette Footage of Crater Peak, Mt. Spurr, on August 18th, 1992
Got it! Footage and audio do not appear to have any issues. Thank you so much for your help! Best, Jeremy On Wed, Mar 3, 2021 at 11:04 AM Perreault, John M (DNR) < john.perreault@alaska.gov> wrote:
Good morning,
Jeremy, you should receive a link from ZendTo to download the file. If you don’t, try this:

Let me know if it all works or not, so we can make sure you get the video.
Cheers,
John

Hi Cheryl,
That would be great! Thank you for getting back to me with the good news so soon. No rush on the upload, just let me know when it's ready.
Thanks again,
Jeremy

Yes, we have this publication in mp4 format and can share it with you - it's 1.1 GB in size, so we can put a copy for you at the State of Alaska's ZendTo site, and you'll have four days to pick it up from there before it is automatically deleted. It is fairly poor resolution - I do also have a VHS copy in my office although it doesn't look better than this digital copy. My home internet is definitely sub-optimal - I'll try and if I fail, a coworker will upload it for you. You should get an email from ZendTo when it is available for you.
Best wishes on your studies, Cheryl
Hello,
I am writing to you because I am interested in viewing some eruption footage of Crater Peak, Mt. Spurr, from August 18, 1992. I read about the footage in the report by M. Doukas et al.: "10 YEARS OF VOLCANIC ACTIVITY IN ALASKA: 1983 TO 1992: A VIDEO" as part of a literature review that I am currently working on as an undergraduate in Robin Matoza's research group at UCSB. Please let me know if there is a way for me to see the footage!
Thanks, Jeremy Francoeur
